Thorwell Group ("we," "us," or "our") operates the thorwellgroup.com website. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our website and the choices you have associated with that data.
We are committed to protecting your privacy in compliance with applicable US privacy laws, including FTC guidelines and state privacy regulations where applicable.

Financial Account Connections (Plaid)
Within our internal financial-management application, we use Plaid Inc. ("Plaid") to securely connect financial accounts for bookkeeping and accounting purposes. This application is used to manage Thorwell Group's own business banking; we do not connect or process the bank accounts of external end users.
When an account is connected, online-banking credentials are entered directly into Plaid's secure interface. We never see, receive, or store those credentials. Plaid provides us with financial data on a strictly read-only basis, limited to account balances and transaction history. Our systems cannot move, transfer, or withdraw funds.
We use this financial data solely to record, categorize, and reconcile transactions and to produce financial statements. We do not sell this data or use it for advertising. Access tokens and API keys are stored using server-side secrets management and are never exposed in client-side code.
Plaid's collection and use of information is governed by the Plaid End User Privacy Policy, available at https://plaid.com/legal/#end-user-privacy-policy. Financial records are retained for the period required by Canada Revenue Agency rules (a minimum of six years) and then securely deleted. A connected account's access may be revoked at any time, which invalidates and removes the associated access tokens.
