Consulting — Advisory

A clear-eyed look at your business, and an honest read on where AI actually fits.

We review your processes and operations, identify the highest-leverage opportunities, and deliver a written roadmap of recommendations. If AI is the right move, we'll show you where to start. If it isn't, we'll tell you that too.

The Process

Four steps, no fluff.

  1. 01

    Discover

We start with a conversation. How the business runs, who does what, where time disappears, where revenue stalls, and what you've already tried. No agenda — just honest context.

  2. 02

    Diagnose

We map your operations and processes, then look for the bottlenecks: manual work that scales poorly, hand-offs that drop balls, data sitting unused, decisions that take too long. The goal is clarity on what's actually slowing you down.

  3. 03

    Assess AI Fit

Not every problem needs AI. We look at each bottleneck and ask the harder question: does AI genuinely help here, or is a process change, better tooling, or a different hire the real answer? Honest fit, not hype.

  4. 04

    Roadmap

You get a written roadmap: prioritized recommendations, what to do first, rough cost and effort, and the impact to expect. Yours to keep, yours to act on — with us, your team, or anyone else.

What We Look At

The whole business, not just the marketing.

Operations

How work moves through the business — from first contact to delivered job — and where it slows, stalls, or breaks.

Processes & Hand-offs

The repeated steps your team runs every day, and where automation, AI, or simply better tooling could give hours back.

Sales & Follow-up

Response speed, qualification, follow-up cadence, and the pipeline visibility (or lack of it) shaping your close rate.

Customer Experience

What clients actually feel from inquiry to invoice — the friction points worth fixing and the moments worth amplifying.

Data & Reporting

What's being tracked, what's being ignored, and what you'd need to see to make confident decisions about where to invest.

Team & Tooling

How your team spends time, the tools they actually use, and the gaps that get filled with spreadsheets and willpower.

Who It's For

If any of these sound familiar, the conversation is worth having.

Most owners we talk to don't need another sales pitch. They need an outside read on what's actually worth doing — and what to ignore for now.

  • You sense AI could help but don't know where it actually fits
  • You're running on heroics — the team is stretched and processes are informal
  • Growth has plateaued and you can't pinpoint why
  • You've bought tools that never got fully used
  • You want a roadmap before you spend, not after
  • You want an honest second opinion, not a sales pitch

Consulting FAQs

Who is this consulting for?

Owners and operators who suspect AI could help their business but don't know where to start - and don't want to waste budget on tools that don't fit. We work across industries: services, trades, e-commerce, professional services, and operations-heavy businesses.

What does an engagement actually look like?

It starts with a discovery conversation about your business, your team, and where time and money are leaking. We then review your processes and operations, identify the highest-leverage AI opportunities, and deliver a written roadmap with prioritized recommendations - costs, effort, and expected impact.

Do I have to use Thorwell to implement?

No. The roadmap is yours. Some clients take it to their internal team or another vendor. Others ask us to implement specific pieces. The recommendation is independent of who builds it.

What if AI isn't a fit for my business?

Then we tell you. Honest assessments matter more than billable hours. If the highest-leverage move is a non-AI process change, better hiring, or simply not doing something yet, that's what the roadmap will say.

Is this ongoing or one-time?

Both are available. Most engagements start as a one-time review and roadmap. Some clients keep us on a light advisory cadence afterwards to pressure-test decisions as they execute.

Get an honest read on your business.

Start with a discovery call. No pressure, no script — just a real conversation about where AI fits and where it doesn't.
